1). Do you know roughly what the time commitment will be during the week? This sounds very interesting and I can find 10-15 hours during the week but there are certain time slots that would be a non-starter.
2). Are you looking for writers who want to focus exclusively on progres? For example, I want to make it one of the main 3-4 topics I write about, would I still be a good fit?
Re 1), we're trying to accommodate all time zones, so everything will be recorded and you can catch up on any live sessions later if the time slot doesn't work for you.
Re 2), I'd consider a writer who had a few topics, but I think we'll be giving priority to applications that are more focused on progress-related topics. What are the 3–4 things you want to write about?
I'm actually about to rebrand my substack to this: "My name is Charlie Becker and I write about the journey of self-discovery, the transformative potential of storytelling, and the arc of human progress. My work spans fiction, personal memoirs, social commentary, book reviews, and essays on a number of different topics."
I am pretty comfortable on the first two topics but want to lean into the third a bit more, and this would be a fantastic opportunity to be among the best minds in the world for that.
I LOVE the look of this writing intensive, the Write of Passage had me totally sold. Only thing is that I'm based in the UK and I don't write 'officially' about progress. I'd say that my topic (embodiment) is a central part of all progress going forwards, but either way, I don't feel that I fit within this programme.
Does anybody know of anything similar happening this Autumn that I could attend online and / or in person. I'd love support with crafting my writing, engaging readers and boosting all things about my substack..
This is a wonderful opportunity for many!
This sounds so great! Two questions:

Hey Substack Family,
I LOVE the look of this writing intensive, the Write of Passage had me totally sold. Only thing is that I'm based in the UK and I don't write 'officially' about progress. I'd say that my topic (embodiment) is a central part of all progress going forwards, but either way, I don't feel that I fit within this programme.

Thanks in advance for any tips and pointers.
If you can afford it, you can always sign up for Write of Passage and pay your own way.
I don't know offhand of any other writing programs, but I'm sure there are some out there!
This is great! Is the 3-day trip to San Francisco at the end of the program required? I live abroad.
Not required but highly encouraged. We will pay your travel expenses.
That sounds amazing! Thank you!
