I love the Wait But Why diagram. I'm in the green group but sympathetic to the yellow group. The magenta and orange groups can go to hell, and the red and blue groups can go to heck.
Re: whether the most meaningful things in life are chosen or unchosen. I took the challenge and wrote out a list of the most meaningful things/events/people in my life. It turned there were quite a few in each column. Many not chosen by me, many chosen by me. So Both would have to be my answer. Note: This is very common occurrence for me when responding to polls; that my answer is not represented in the available options. In turn, this reflects the pitfalls in trying to assign meaning to polling responses. I've seen people come up with polling algorithms that give more useful results, but they cost significantly more to implement. Sigh! Such is life.
The Not Chosen were people who had enriched my life after having entered it unbidden, either by chance or by other people's choosing. The chosen were mainly decision points in my life that significantly contributed to who I am today.
